The Latrobe Stress Buster classes offer free emotional health support to residents of the Latrobe Valley over 6 one hour sessions. Join our qualified staff in learning about the cycle of stress and how to beat the habits that maintain high stress states.
The Stress Buster classes will offer the latest information about the impact of stress on our health and wellbeing as well as offering practical strategies for beating stress and maintaining improved emotional health.
All course materials are included in our class programs at no cost.

Adult DBT Skills Group:
The DBT Skills course aims to teach practical coping and life skills. The DBT Skills program is based on research into the most effective skills to manage emotions, thoughts, urges and behaviour. The course covers the core skill areas of Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Participants will be guided through a range of skills and practical exercises. Suited to those new to DBT as well as those who have previously attended DBT sessions. A range of resources are provided as part of the course.
Adolescent DBT Skills Group:
The DBT Skills Adolescent course teaches 5 modules of DBT skills for teens and parent/caregivers. The DBT Skills program is based on years of research into the most effective skills to manage difficult emotions, thoughts, urges and problem behaviour. Skills are taught across the areas of Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness/Middle Path, These skills sessions are specifically designed for adolescents and parent/caregivers to improve coping and reduce family stress. An extensive range of resources are provided as part of the course.
